Once there was a woman who had lost all her money. She lived fm social security and hardly had anything to share with her family.
She was unhappy and frustrated not to be able to travel, buy expensive things and have comfort time for herself.
She really felt very bad and was busy pitying herself…
One day she sat there and was dreaming about a lipstick and some “facial decoration”. Finally she felt somehow locked up in her “four walls” so she decided to go for a walk. She found some wild berries which she picked and ate.
In the middle of her walk there was a shower. Some drops reached her head and her clothes – when seeking shelter under the trees many little blossoms fell on her, as well. The sun came back – with its light the little drops were shining like diamonds in all colors of the rainbow and the blossoms were like an ornamental decoration on her. When she met people they were all looking at her, smiling. Yet she only noticed their looks in a negative way, she interpreted them as “staring at her”. When arriving at home she stood in front of the mirror to find out why people had looked at her that way: she saw some stains, shriveled flowers and a mouth which had been painted red fm the berries – immediately she went into the bathroom to change her clothes and to wash off the red color on her lips. Utterly disappointed she swore to herself to always carry an umbrella and some Kleenex to be neat and tidy.
WHAT A PITY – she had not seen what others saw. True beauty “made by God & Mother Nature” succeeding to make other people smile and brighten their days. Well – you always have got two ways to look at yourself...
The ways to look at yourself / things make a difference…
